Local Recruitment Information

Formal Recruitment at the University of Virginia is a rewarding and exciting experience. U.Va. participates in a deferred Recruitment program, with Formal Recruitment taking place in January just before the start of classes.

The week of Recruitment is designed so that undergraduate women have the opportunity to visit all 16 National Panhellenic Council chapters at the University. As a Chi Omega, you will make fond memories, develop a foundation for leadership, and meet the best friends you will always treasure.

You will also become a part of something else: the Greek community. Greeks are leaders on our campus, within our communities and for our nation. This community and our Chi Omega chapter provide endless opportunities for involvement and success, and beyond that, Chi Omega provides a sisterhood and a home that last a lifetime. You can make a difference in Chi Omega, and Chi Omega can make a difference in you.

We are so excited for you to join the Panhellenic community here at the University of Virginia, and we look forward to meeting you at recruitment!

This year registration for Formal Recruitment opens September 1, 2016 and will close November 15, 2016 at 5 pm! To register for Formal Recruitment during the Spring 2016 semester and learn more information, visit www.virginiaisc.com.

Letters of Recommendation and Recruitment Information Forms

Although not required for consideration as a member of our chapter, Lambda Gamma does receive introductions to Potential New Members from Chi Omega alumnae each year. We prefer online official Chi Omega Recruitment Information Forms (RIFs), which can be filled out by visiting www.ChiOmega.com/EveryDay. While online RIFs are our preference, we also accept paper RIFs and informal letters by mail.*
